No no no, not the MTV "reality" T.V. show… it's NewSpring's student ministry trip… all I can say is, "I wish I was a 'kid' again"!
We just sent 200 students and about 50 adults to Panama City. They are going to have a blast. The people that planned this thing, pulled out all of the stops. It's almost like a reality t.v. game show, but NewSpring style. Here's the best part, they will be having so much fun, while at the same time, learning about Jesus and bringing more people to know him as well!
We are even sending our fearless leader, Perry Noble, down there as well! I couldn't imagine trying to prepare one message for those kids, let alone, five! The band will also be making an appearance. The NewSpring house band and the student ministry band will be bringing some sweet tunes to kids while they are down there. Full setup just like here at the church… the lights, the camera's and the action! God is AWESOME!
Some of the kids probably don't really get what "IT" is all about. They probably just think it's a vacation. A time away from their parents, where they can have fun. I pray that they finally get "IT". I never got it at that age. I mean I knew "IT" but I never got "IT". And what is this "IT"? The "IT" I am referring to is, Jesus. I never knew what it meant to have a personal relationship with him. I believed that he died on a cross for my sins and since I believed that, I was going to heaven. True, that's all it takes. But if you truly believe that, then you will want to get to know him on an intamate level. Fall completely head over heels in love with a man, that hung naked on a cross and died for me, you and everybody else. A man that has unconditional love. You can curse his name, spit in his face, beat him over the head, and he will still love you and always have his arms wide open. "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do". Who in this world could say that, except Jesus? That just blows my mind. I've got the perfect VERSE for Verse of the day! I'll be posting that next!
If anyone that reads this thing (whoever that may be, I am guessing all, one of you), if you ever have a question about anything regarding Salvation, Jesus, God, Religion or anything like that… ask me. I DO NOT KNOW THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING, NEVER WILL, but I could probably point you in the right direction, or even to someone that could help you out!
Good LUCK at the Gauntlet!
And I am OUT!
